Null Statue (2016) is an experimental stereoscopic short film (8 min) in which crude oil is thrown at invisible objects, forming temporary abstract sculptures. These sculptures exist only in time, not in space. Through editing, chaotic virtual forms emerge — and when viewed through 3D glasses, they come to life in the real world, evolving in front of the viewer.
Experimental stereoscopic short film. (8min)
One of my few purely abstract works, this piece grew from an interest in making visible what cannot normally be seen — thoughts, emotions, abstractions. I wanted to create abstract sculptures without actually making any physical object.
