A Feast with King Midas

A Feast with King Midas (2013) is an experimental short film about mortality and the overuse of our natural resources. A man sits at a banquet table as the food around him slowly rots away.

Experimental short film. Three channel and one channel theatrical version. (3min 35s)

The film came from a period when I was thinking deeply about mortality and the fragility of life. I was also drawn to the vanitas tradition in art, as well as the unsettling fact that roughly one third of all food produced globally goes to waste.
